Retail Chain Zoho One Implementation
The Challenge
A multi-location retail chain in Malta with 12 stores was running disconnected systems — spreadsheets for inventory, a basic POS system with no CRM capability, email-based customer communication, and a standalone accounting package. Staff duplicated data entry across four systems daily, stock counts were unreliable, and the finance team spent three days each month reconciling sales data with accounting records. The business had no unified view of customer purchasing behaviour or cross-store inventory availability.
Our Approach
skios conducted a comprehensive process audit across the retail chain's operations — sales, inventory, customer management, accounting, and HR. We mapped every workflow, identified integration gaps, and designed a phased Zoho One deployment that would replace all disconnected tools with a single integrated platform, starting with the highest-pain areas: CRM and inventory management.
The Solution
We deployed Zoho One across all 12 retail locations in three phases. Phase 1 delivered Zoho CRM for customer management and Zoho Inventory for real-time stock tracking across stores. Phase 2 added Zoho Books with Malta VAT compliance, automated POS-to-accounting reconciliation, and multi-store financial reporting. Phase 3 introduced Zoho People for HR management and Zoho Analytics dashboards for cross-department visibility. Custom Zoho Creator applications handled store-specific workflows including daily cash reconciliation and inter-store transfer requests.
